Why can't the weekend be longer? :-( Been a mean weekend, the Warriors won today, the All Blacks beat Wales... and the weather was half decent in Auckland lol (hope it was where you are as well).
Spent the weekend listening to new music, two albums in particular were the pick of the bunch out of the many i was listening to. Pieter T's new offering 'Life, Love and Lessons' is an amazing r&b album, you would never think it was made in NZ with the production values! With all the poppy hip hop & r&b available these days it was a breath of fresh air to hear some good ol slow jams come through the headphones, well worth the itunes voucher!
Eminem... love him or hate him, his new album 'Recovery' is a must have for your hip hop collection! It makes up for that rubbish he put out last year (Relapse) and is on par with his debut and sophomore album, with rappers these days just talking about how much money they have, or what cars they drive - eminem goes against the grain by rapping with honesty about personal problems experienced during his hiatus, ends up being addictive listening. Expect the track 'I Love the Way You Lie' featuring Rihanna to be massive hit.
The week ahead is going to be massive! Tuesday morning in particular, Jandals will be paraded in the notorious Borat Mankini and filmed by Maori Televisions 'Code'. I really do feel bad, i know if i lost the State of Origin bet i wouldn't be silly enough to go through with it lol.
